MARC

The Mobile Area Resource Centre (MARC Van) is a small mobile library. The MARC van is filled with picture story books, fictional novels, non-fiction books for students and teachers to borrow. Students are able choose books from the library van to read over a two week period.

One of the many benefits of being part of a small school is the wonderful opportunities available to our students. We are fortunate to welcome the MARC (Mobile Area Resource Centre) Van to our school each week, bringing exciting literacy and art experiences to our students.

We are especially lucky to have our wonderful MARC teacher, Anda Banikos, who shares her passion for books, creativity and learning with our students. Anda creates engaging and enjoyable lessons that inspire students to read, imagine and express themselves through art.

A highlight of each visit is the opportunity for students to borrow library books from the MARC Van. With a wide range of books available, students can explore different genres, discover new authors and develop a lifelong love of reading. Students eagerly look forward to choosing books to take home and enjoy with their families.

The weekly MARC Van visit is a valued part of our school program and another example of how our small school provides enriching learning opportunities for every student.
