Hi Grade Prep/One and Grownups,

Well done on surviving week 1. Thankyou for you patience while continue to navigate technology.

Welcome to week 2!

Below are the learning tasks for this week, Week 2.

All extra worksheets are pdf linked below, but please use workbooks to complete tasks and paste printed sheets into scrapbooks so we don't misplace anything along the way.

Your child's Reading Eggs, Mathletics and Soundwavesonline passwords are pasted into the front of their reading diaries. Students have unlimited access to these sites at anytime and they are a great addition to student learning. Please email the school if you need another copy of these.

This week for reading, you will need to log into Sunshine Online.

Whole School Wellbeing Activity.

Each week we will have a social, emotional or wellbeing activity. You can do this at any time during the week. They are not long activities.

This weeks activity is on Gratitude. Watch the clip, do the activity and send in a photo.

Parents can also send in photos of themselves too :)

This is a nice reflection of what we have to be thankful for, especially in the current circumstances.

Please feel free to email me at school if you have any questions, queries and or concerns as we are all in this together.

NOTE: I will be unavailable this Thursday 23rd as I will be in a meeting until 9.30am.

Mass – Hefting

Watch Bert and Ernie

Poor Bert! L Ernie and Bert were hefting, which means that they were holding an object in their hands to decide if it is heavy or light. We usually hold the object on a flat hand and we can put an object on each hand at the same time to decide which is heavier or lighter. Today you will need a shoe. Heft it, is it heavy or light? Find 5 things in your house that are heavier and 5 things that are lighter than your shoe when you heft them. Draw a picture in your maths book of what you found. Hop onto Google Meet and show Ms D what you found and how you correctly heft items. (This will be an individual meeting, so if I reject your request to join the meeting, please try back a little later).
